2 for Tuesday! Place Value and Word Wall Letters!

I just began following Chalk One Up for the Teacher and I'm super hyped for her 2 for Tuesday Linky!  I have two products from my store for 50% off today!  (Which makes them incredibly cheap!)

The first product is my Decimal Place Value SCOOT/Task Cards!  My students absolutely loved using these last year. I used them on and off through out the entire year as a spiral review in centers.  I feel like it really helped them!  Get it super cheap HERE!

The second product is my Colorful Chevron Chalkboard Word Wall Letters!  Although I am not required to have a word wall in my room, I think it's an important asset to any classroom.  If you're feeling like adding a splash of color to your classroom pick these up HERE!

Get these items while they're hot! And have a terrific Tuesday!

Currently and TpT SALE!!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to believe that I haven't blogged in 3 weeks!
But it's even harder to believe that my summer is almost over!

Better late than never to link up with Farley's Currently Linky!

Listening:  Our air conditioner has been on the fritz lately.  It has frozen up numerous times and got up to around 85 degrees in our house!  In the Oklahoma heat that is absolutely NO GOOD!  We had a really nice guy come out and service it and it's been working perfectly since then!  Thank you, Lord!

Loving/Thinking:  I created my first ever teacher binder this week!  It has way more pages than I thought and I am almost done with it!  I have a few more pages I need to add in and then I want to get it printed!

Wanting:  I desperately want to get into my school and get my classroom ready!  We are moving into a brand new building and it is not quite done yet.  In fact, we have no idea when we will be able to get in there. My coworkers and I are super frustrated but we know it will all happen in good time.  We may have to spend the first week back in our old building, so that will be crappy, but at least we will have a beautiful new building to look forward to!

Needing:  So, I had to have surgery this week to have a tumor on one of my parathyroid glands removed.  Long story short, I was producing 4x as much calcium as I should have been because of my tumor.  Now that it's removed my body is basically calcium starved and my limbs keep falling asleep!  Thank goodness it's not the painful needle-like feeling, but it's quite uncomfortable.  Hopefully my body will begin regulating calcium properly and my 'asleep' feeling will go away asap!

I am so conflicted about going back to school.  I love my summer and hanging out with my baby girl but I am super excited about going back to school, meeting my new students and seeing my friends every day!  Hopefully our first day back will be a great day since it's my birthday!

AND WHO ISN'T SUPER STOKED ABOUT THE TPT BTS SALE?!!??!?!

I have some great items for sale, such as a bunch of math task/scoot cards and a few other goodies!

Go check it out and start buying! :-)

And to those of you who go back to school tomorrow, best of luck!

A classroom sneak peek!

Well it's getting too close for comfort!  Back to school time officially starts Tuesday for me.  We have four days of professional development and then the kids come on the 19th. I am starting to get really excited for a new year, new students, new curriculum, and new learning for me!

I was up at school last week to decorate my classroom and get it in working order.  Here are some pictures of some of the things I've made and decorated!

This is one of my bulletin boards.  We are supposed to display lots of student work so I bought plain black magnets and put colorful stickers on them so we can just hang work up on the chalkboard instead of stapling or taping it everywhere!  I also have my word wall right next to it.  I do some pretty cool things with the words on my word wall.  I explained one of them in one of my recent blogs, Educational Apps.

This is where I will write my objectives this year! Last year I had frames that I wrote on with expo markers but they were hard to erase and write on and the kids eventually broke two of them. :-(  I figure this will be easier!

This is how I keep track of which student is doing what during our Daily 5 time.  They just move their name card to whichever center they want to do and I can just do a quick look and check they are at the right center!

This is full of rules, our general rubric and a voice levels chart, etc.

I absolutely love this.  I made it last year and it is right next to the door of my classroom.  Students simply move their number anytime they leave my classroom so I always know where they are.  I have had so many times that I tell a student he or she can go to the nurse or the library and then ten minutes later I have no idea where they are!  This really helps to keep me in check!

And this is something new I am doing this year at B2S night.  This board will be hanging up and parents are encouraged to take a circle off of there if they are able to buy the needed supply.  On the circles I have things like headphones (for our iPads), clorox wipes and ziplock baggies, etc.  I always need these things but don't want to buy them out of my own pocket!

This is a little look at my classroom so far!  Hope you enjoyed! :-)
If you did, please leave me a comment!
